What a fantastic start to the season. It’s been a few years since this much ski able terrain has been on offer. As you approach the snowy mountains you can see that the whole main range is covered. All the feedback from customers returning from the snow is positive.

Perisher have once again spent a semi load of money on snow making to insure that that this year those of us who like more challenging terrain would have something to wet our appetites with. This comes in the form of towers run at mount perisher.
While installing this snow making a few large rocks were moved witch has made towers into a fast smooth run, one not to be missed at the crack of dawn on a blue bird day after the groomers have worked there magic.
It was also very good to see perisher trying to mach Thredbo constant good efforts in providing entertainment by putting on a very successful music festival on the opening weekend, even though there was not much snow those who came for the weekend had a great time anyway.

We have some new models of skis on the scene this year, such as atomic race short turns for those of us who love short powerful carving turns and the atomic race long turns for those who crave speed more than turning.
We also have the old favs like the zeniths for carving and the forgiving all mountain Bandit.

For the boarder as per ausaul we have some sexy new boards complete with the innovative fastec binding system for our performance range. the fastec allows the boarder to insert their back foot into the bind as you slide away from the lift. That’s right, no stoping.

For the fancy cars with low clearance to the suspension strut we now have a fantastic K7 low clearance chain. However you will still need enough clearance above the wheel arch to get your hands above the wheel for this diamond pattern chain.
This brings me to a common misconception about diamond pattern chains. Many people think that if they have low clearance from the tyre to the wheel arch that a diamond chain is better. This is usually not the case as most diamond chains require you to connect the flexible hoop at the top inside of the tyre; low clearance on the wheel arch makes this near impossible. The common hoop ladder chain is often the best way to go, as the ridged hoop on these chains allows you slip the top half of the chain over the tyre while holding the bottom.
If you understood what I just said you are probably not new to chains, if you are new to chains just come in and we will show you.
Every chain customer at our shop gets a lesson on how to fit chains to their own car, insuring that you know how to do it as well as insuring that the chain fits the car perfectly.

Hope to see you soon,

Jason, Tony and Staff.
